In 1700, Bartolomeo Cristofori, a simple
harpsichord maker, invented
what would become one of the most famous instruments,
the piano. A
true musical revolution, it was originally just a system of
small hammers
on a keyboard hitting strings, which Bartolomeo called "gravecemblalo
col piano e forte". In 2021, the melodies of the direct descendant of this
beautiful discovery still resound and accompany our favourite pieces.
