On Pitch: small changes to our system, big changes for you!

Our pitch has improved! Karaoke Version is excited to announce a new technology that allows you to modify a key -4/+4 semitones, improves the overall quality of sound and helps avoid deformation!

And the really good news....it’s completely free! Change the key on any of your Karaoke Version tracks and on our entire catalog of 83 000 songs!

The magic number -4/+4

Changing the key of any Karaoke Version track was previously limited to -2/+2 semitones to avoid annoying sound issues. We're happy to announce that on any song (even those you've already purchased) keys can be modified -4/+4 semitones!

Minimize sound distortion

Quality's always been of utmost importance here at Karaoke Version and thanks to this new technology, you'll get even higher caliber sound, one suitable for pro muscians on any of our instrumental, vocal and custom backing tracks!

How to change the key?

On any song page on the Karaoke Version site, up and down arrows indicate the possibility to change the key. Preview the key change by clicking on these arrows before downloading the track (More info here). To get the full effect, why not try it out with one of our free Custom Backing Tracks.

Brilliant news for our choir. Thank you for all your hard work.

This is great news - many thanks. The distortion when changing key on some (earlier published?) tracks made them unusable. Also only being able to change + or -2 meant that occasionally I had used a competitor product, but no more. Have recommended you to lots of music friends - keep up the good work, guys!

That's a welcome addition. However, I think you also need to address the "panning" facilities - the problem arises where someone may wish to pan an instrument to hard right, for example to create a click track. With the present system, this works fine unless the actual stem track already has the instrument panned hard left, in which case the instrument virtually disappears. I think this needs re-designing....
