🎵 Tempo Variations: Why Some Tracks Aren’t Metronome-Steady
At Karaoke Version, we take pride in staying true to the original recordings. That’s what makes our tracks so authentic and enjoyable to perform with!
👉 Why does the tempo vary on some tracks?
You may have noticed that some songs seem to speed up or slow down, and that the click track doesn't always stay in sync. This isn't a bug — it’s exactly how the original track was recorded.
Some songs are performed with a variable tempo, either for expressive reasons or simply because of how they were played live in the studio. We stay as close to the original interpretation as possible — that includes those tempo shifts.
🎧 As such, the tempo cannot be modified or "fixed" to a steady beat.
👉 How can I know if a song has variable tempo?
It’s clearly shown on the song page!
Just below the song’s title, you’ll see:
- Key
- Length
- Tempo, if the tempo is listed as "around" it means that the tempo is variable
This is your cue that the timing may shift slightly during the track, just like in the original version.
👉 Looking for more control?
While tempo itself can’t be edited, you can still:
- Adjust the mix of each instrument
- Change the pitch
- Mute vocals or instruments as needed
