Famous father/daughter duos to celebrate Father's Day

Not content with having only sung about their children, certain artists took it a step further and partnered with their offspring to make some beautiful music. These unique collaborations, linking private and public lives, are often filled with emotion and ultimately produce some astonishing melodic outcomes. As Father's Day approaches, here, three particularly sweet father/child duets to sing and play along with papa:

Forty Shades of Green as made famous by Johnny Cash
The star of country music always oscillated between the shadow and the limelight, sin and redemption, balancing an image of "outlaw" and one of "entertainer." According to his own statements, Johnny Cash stayed on the straight and narrow, thanks to family (his wife, singer June Carter and their seven children). The musical torch was passed along to Roseanne, their eldest daughter when in 2003, she sang "Forty Shades Of Green" for a documentary alongside her father for what was to be his last appearance. for what will be its last appearance. He had composed the title in 1959 while in Ireland, convinced that he held Irish heritage. It was later revealed that he was not, after all Irish, rather Scottish and a descendant of Malcolm IV, King of Scotland.

Something Stupid as made famous by Frank and Nancy Sinatra
This unforgettable and touching duet, originally composed by Carson Parks, between "The Voice" and his daughter was the first song by a father/daughter duoto ever reach the top of the charts in the US and England. This held true until 2003 when the Sinatra's were dethroned by Ozzy Osbourne and his daughter Kelly for their duet "Changes."

Unforgettable as made famous by Nat King and Natalie Cole
Natalie Cole was only fifteen years old, when her father, the legend of jazz with the velvet voice, Nat " King " Cole died in 1965. Twenty seven years later, and a recognized singer herself, she signed on to produce an album in homage to her late father, titled "Unforgettable … With Love," for which she won three Grammies. For the ceremony, she preformed this timeless classic in unison with video of her father singing the timeless classic....unforgettable.
