Which karaoke file format should I use?

You want to have a karaoke party, but you don't know which file format to use? You have a choice between two karaoke formats, the WMV and the MP3+G.

Format Windows Media Player
The WMV format is a karaoke format that works with Windows Media Player video, which is available on Windows XP and Vista. (Mac OS or Linux players are also compatible with this format.)

Format Karaoke MP3+G
The MP3+G format is a karaoke format which is compatible with MP3+G or CDG players, or with special karaoke software (like KaraFun). This format is recommended for advanced users.

Format .KFN
The .KFN format is used by KaraFun software to store MP3 or MIDI karaoke files. This format contains a number of different elements: up to 3 MP3 audio tracks, MID or KAR files, images (JPG, PNG or BMP format), lyrics, visual effects...
